Technical privacy
This page explains, plainly, what Knodl does with your camera and your data. If anything's unclear, write to us.
What gets processed
While you use Knodl, your camera captures video that's analyzed in real time inside your own browser, with a computer-vision model (MediaPipe) running locally. Only numbers get extracted from each frame: where your gaze points, how your head is tilted, whether your eyes are closed. The image itself never becomes a file, never gets uploaded to any server, and is never stored — not even temporarily on your own disk.
What leaves your device
Nothing camera-related. Knodl has no backend that receives video: attention detection is 100% local. The only things that travel over the network are anonymous analytics events (e.g., that a session started), with no image or personal identifier, and any email you choose to send yourself if you use the report or reminder option.
What gets stored
Only your preferences (language, your name if you typed one, session length, sensitivity) in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device, and you can delete it anytime with the "Delete my data from this browser" button inside the app.
Exercising your rights
For questions, corrections, or to request deletion of anything you've sent us (a testimonial, for instance), write to [email protected].
Knodl is not a treatment
Knodl is a focus companion, not a medical device or a treatment for ADHD or any other condition. It doesn't replace evaluation or care from a health professional.
